Joe thanks for the info - Iodine is highly personal concerning dosage. I'm "loading" right now with the intent of stopping everything but the recommended sups on my rounds so I can focus on how the chelators are making me feel.
I am very tuned in to my body, so I go by how I feel on supplements. Iodine is a supplement and boy do I feel excellent on this stuff! Chelators are not supplements, and I expect to feel poorly during rounds.
Iodine chelates bromide and flouride (poisons in our water so most can't escape this) and to a lesser degree, mercury and lead because of their relative atomic weight. Of course it also protects against uptake of radioactive Iodine from nuclear fallout drifting through the world's atmosphere. This is a basic overview of halogens and the importance of iodine:

I'm working on a research article on iodine so I should be better informed on the Science of this later.
