If you can find out what the chemical in Celery is that is helping the hypertension and then see if it is in celeriac you might be able to answer this

there is some confusion is Celery and celeriac is from the same plant

Some say Celery is the veggie and celeriac is the root of the same plant.

If this is true, it may or may not help the same.

Sometimes the chemical would be in all parts of the plant but in some cases this is not the case. Someone was substituting red raspberry fruit for red raspberry leaves and when I looked them up in Dr Christopher's herbal the leaves and the fruit were entirely different types of herbs...that is say diaphoretic and diuretic (that is not the use of these herbs just an example) so they did not have the same chemicals in the fruit and the leaves.

I would suspect maybe the celery seeds might have similar properties if you can get those or grow celery. One could make Celery Seed Tea and might get similar benefits but can't promise that

It might be ok to try to use it just in case it has the same properties but I cannot say one way or the other if it would work the same.

It seems this chemical is unique to celery and not generally found in other plants
