quite a bit of opinion there represented as fact. I had the opposite experience you did trying to avoid meat a few years ago... so, relying on personal experiences, while interesting, doesn't really further the friendly debate much.

carnivores in the wild seem to do OK eating meat... feels odd judging them for their natural habits... how can we be so sure that humans were not designed similarly, aside from personal experiences?
