hi everyone.
i posted a while back (in december i think?) about having yellow in the corners of my eyes, and i really appreciated your responses. i was advised to get my liver function tested and to do a cleanse, unfortunately it turned out that my liver function is not the problem.
the opthalmologist said that my eyes are yellow because of a thickening beneath the sclerae. this is not a pinguecula as i had wondered it might be, nor is it fatty deposits, and she couldnt tell me what might've caused it. she said she didnt think that it would get worse, but i really cant see why it wouldnt, considering how it just appeared within the last year or so (and is quite noticeable when i shift my eyes to either side). at this rate, by the time im forty my entire eyeballs will probably be yellow.
and i find it really really upsetting, because even old people i know dont have this problem. in fact no one i know has this problem. i look at everyone else's eyes and they are pristinely white. hell, even my fifty year old dad who smokes and drinks (i have never smoked or drank) has white eyes. it really really really sucks.
so anyway!
i was wondering if anyone has any knowledge about whether fasting might help this problem (seeing as ive heard that fasting can get rid of tumors and help heal scars--and arent scars a thickening of the tissue like my eyes?--and other problems)? basically it's the same question i had when i posted here in december, only that now i know it's not a pinguecula, it's not fatty deposits, and its not caused by poor liver function. i guess the best way to answer that question for myself is simply to do it. and i am doing it (though only on day two so far), but if anyone has information that might be hope-giving or that might be a reality check about the direness of my situation, it would be appreciated, simply because i just want to know now.
also, on a different note (though not to take away from the main question) is it okay to drink coffee on a fast, without cream or Sugar that is? i find fasts go sooooo much easier when you can drink coffee (i feel almost elated after a cup of coffee when i've been fasting), but i dont know if the healing benefits would be the same. i certainly dont want to jeopardize that.
oh and i should note, that as was recommended when i last posted, i have been eating quite healthy. i bought a juicer and have been drinking carrot juice, beet juice, etc. so i feel i am quite ready to embark on a long fast.
anyhow, for whoever actually managed to read all this and reply, thanks so much! your help is always appreciated!
