Well...they don't just throw fecal transplants at anyone who wants one. Very few Doctors actually administer them as well.

The transplants are often given to patients to have recurrent Clostridium Difficile infections and/or +2 relapses with unsuccessful Antibiotic treatment. Even then it is hard for those patients to receive a referral from a GI specialist in order to get the Fecal Bacteriotherapy administered by one of the few Doctors willing to perform the procedure.

As C.Diff survivors, we are hoping that this becomes first line treatment sometime soon.
