You have to have all of the elements to rebuild collagen...
Good DHEA...
Normal Cortisol...
Good bioavailable copper...
Good intake of amino acids proline, lysine, hydroxyproline...
Good intake of natural vitamin C...
Good intake of glycosaminoglycans like NAG, kombucha, bone broth etc.
Good intake of sulfur like MSM...
Collagen doesn't just come back by itself, and it's certainly nothing to do with muscle tissue.
For skin to actually thicken again, you have to rebuild the collagen and the bonds, which requires the underlying hormonal dynamic, along with the needed nutrients.
Some essential oil is not going to rebalance and provide nourishment with all of these elements required. Yeah, it may provide some nice facilitators like anti-oxidants, but it's certainly not all of the raw materials that the body readily needs.
I've healed my collagen years ago and turned 3-4 lines into 1 line under my eyes (and things like that), so it's possible, but with the right dynamic and raw materials.
Gelatin along with bone broths, kombucha, vitamin C sources etc. is the ticket.
Definitely avoid anything that's a pro-oxidant like fish oil, which will destroy and glycate collagen in a very bad way. Lipid peroxides are the sworn enemy of collagen and it's the reason that sun can create so much damage to collagen.
Look up DHEA and MMP activity for some very interesting info, if you wanna dig that deep.
