Thank you everyone for the suggestions! I've passed them on to my friend. Hanna, I knew there had to be a link like that - just couldn't find it.

I hope she gets on the probiotics. It's hard to see her health being ruined like this. She hates to do it too, but it's hard to be sick with a bacterial infection at the doctor's office and say "no" to the inevitable Rx.
