I used to be able to take zinc. I can't handle it right now since it pulls even more copper out of storage.

Back when I was eating a lot of high copper foods (unknowingly), I was taking 50 mg per day. But now that I have switched to low copper/high zinc foods, I had to stop taking zinc.

If I take zinc now, I get insomnia, anxiety and my liver struggles. I know Laredo when very hard and fast on the detox. But I need to keep working, so I'm going a little slower.

I don't notice any signs of copper deficiency. My copper is high.

As far as copper dumps, it's hard to know for sure. I did have some bad rashes come and go, some head aches, insomnia.

Not taking anything to speed up my metabolism.....not sure what that would entail.

Her book is very good. I think it explains the relation to stress and adrenal fatigue very well. Highly recommend it.
