In your post above, Applesauce19, you state that your mother was raped as a child by a family member and is expecting you to get over it like she did.  Well, regardless of how much you love your mother and how much she may love you, the fact is that she did not deal with the crime that was committed against her.  She may "know" how you feel, but healing from being raped by a family member requires much more than just to "move on."  Every decision, choice, action, and self-perception is based upon that experience, and self-esteem of a child is destroyed when they are victimized in such a way.

Getting some help for yourself and talking about the crime that was committed against you with a professional will not only help you, but it may help someone else.
