After taking 2 broad spectrum anti-biotics I dealt with two secondary infections. C.Diff and Candidiasis. A Paleo diet will not cause a yeast infection...however a poor diet can. Stick to healthy eating.
A few questions for you:
How much fish do you eat? An elevated level of mercury can contribute to this issue.
Also, do you have immuno-deficiency disorder or disease. You may want to have your doctor check that out also.
Hormonal imbalances can be a contributing factor to candida as well.

There are many things you can do to induce healing but first and foremost go see your Dr. Discuss what you've been doing and make sure he or she runs proper tests. They can also check your blood to make sure you do not have a systemic infection. However, if candida is limited to the gut and other parts of your body it is difficult to culture unless it's pretty much pouring out of your body.

As for IBS, I have struggled with it for a while after getting over my C.Diff infection so I'm sure we can exchange our experiences.

A friend and I created a support and informational blog to help those who deal with IBS and other residual symptoms such as candida and anxiety so we're sharing out knowledge with others as well.
