Hi, I've been posting here the last few days trying to get ideas to help with my brain fog and low libido. I think I have candida, and I know I'm hypothyroid and have hashimoto's.
Anyway, my doctor had me do a hair mineral analysis and I was low in a few essential elements. I was low in and am currently supplementing manganese, iodine, and lithium. My hair analysis also says I'm low in sodium and potassium. My doctor put an X next to it, and didn't mention it when going over results so I assumed it wasn't important.
I'm a little concerned now though, because I see many of you reccomending real, unprocessed salt to treat candida and other ailments. I know that having too much sodium is bad for your body, but what if you have too little? Also what if you have too little potassium? I have my results from the analysis and reference ranges if that's relevant.
So if I'm apparently lower than average in sodium and potassium, should I supplement salt and potassium? I'm just trying to understand what is going on with my body.
