I just read some Newspapers/Newsletters from India online. I also referenced some government and wiki sources and found that Learning Disabilities have skyrocketed in the past several years in India. The rates of Autism and Learning Disorders in children rivals the US with about 1 in 200 and in some sources it is above the US in autism rates.

Remember, this is just the children that are fortunate enough to become diagnosed. The rates of Learning disorders has increased so fast that the doctors don't know how to diagnose or treat the disorder labeling the children "slow."

Also, there are people in poverty who don't even get a chance to visit the doctor...
