You may have fibromyalgia. There is a good book on this subject which describes the tightening of muscles and the lumps that appear.

This book has helped me a lot. The good news is that you don't necessarily have cancer, and there is a cure for fibromyalgia. My muscles are relaxing and lumps are disappearing.
