Ok, so initially I thought that dairy couldn't be the cause because I have never had any issues with dairy before and I was consuming dairy almost daily right up until my 1st episode occurred. Not only that but I don't seem to have any reaction to having a little creamer in my coffee so I really didn't think it could be the cause. That is until I had a grilled cheese sandwich and within 45 minutes or so after, the horrible abdominal pain started and I was reliving the whole experience again. I started thinking back on what I ate on the days I didn't have any reaction and none of those days did I have dairy and every time I can recall having bad reactions, it was after meals made with some amount of dairy (pizza, grilled cheese, enchiladas, even a 56 hour fermented cup of kefir set me off). I am perfectly fine eating a turkey and spinach sandwich so I am wondering, is this lactose intolerance? If so, why would I suddenly develop this out of the blue (I'm 27)? Could it have been caused by the kefir or is the timing just coincidental? I absolutely LOVE cheese, please tell me this is temporary!!! Maybe it is an adjustment period from all the new gut flora?
P.S. I left something out from an earlier post on this thread...I ate those veggies with ranch dip O.O
