Would you mind giving me your thoughts on my labwork? I know these numbers aren't conclusive. My adrenals are a little weak right now so perhaps improving them will improve thyroid and ferritin?
The adrenals do have an affect on proper thyroid function so increasing your adrenal function can help.
I don't understand the connection between TSH and the free Ts.
Do you mean free T3 or T4? The TSH goes up with hypothyroidism in order to stimulate the thyroid to create more thyroid hormones.
And on the B12, can you be deficient yet show up high?
Not that I am aware of. Unless they are measuring two different forms of B12, cyanocobalamin and methylcobalamin or free versus bound B12.
TSH 6.70 High (0.40 - 4.50)
T4, free 1.1 in range (0.8 - 1.8)
T3, free 3.1 in range (2.3 - 4.2)
Antibodies 12 ( <35 )
Ferritin 11 Low (10 - 232) iron, binding and saturation were all in range
B12 1765 High (200 - 1100)
Vitamin D 24 Low (30 - 100)
Check your labs and see if they show any signs of megoblastic anemia, which is a symptom of B12 deficiency.
I saw a post where you recommended AloeLife's Orange Papaya aloe juice. When I have had problems in the past, I have used aloe, slippery elm and licorice root so I thought I'd try the brand aloe you recommended. Will this one also soothe an ulcer?
Yes, pure aloe juice can help soothe ulcers.
Can you take it if you don't have a gallbladder?
Yes.
I noticed on the back of the bottle, it mentioned herbal bitters. In the past, you have said to stay away from bitters if you don't have a gallbladder. Would this aloe juice be ok?
Yes, it is fine. This product has most of the bitter anthraquinones removed so it will not act as a bitter.
