I was wrong when I stated that I started supplementing D3 over 3 years ago, it was 4 years ago but I did add Magnesium Taurate one of the more expensive supps of its kind. Then I added K2 less than a year later.
Perhaps fate and luck brought these needed vitamins to the forefront to help me supplement vitamin D3 with no ill effects so far.

As for Cancer and D look below.

I have been in the trenches with D3 for over 4 years. I have never supplemented more than 5000 iu’s.
I usually take 2000 iu’s for several weeks and up to 4000 iu’s for a few weeks.
With Elementary Iodine, K2, D3, Magnesium I really am at my best.
My hope is that everyone one else will find their niche of good health.
This works for me. I don’t have all the answers for everyone.
