Hmm.. so far the only correlation I can work up are season and amount of time spent outdoors, honestly. Yes, the amount of rain changes often, at least every three weeks, but I haven't had worsenings of mental state and sleep in relation to them.
The past three years also have brought on insomnia/mental issues without heavy amounts of stress, also, so when I hear my hubby say 'it's just stress', it makes me roll my eyes internally.
I know candida is an issue, as yeast infections have been a constant in more or less quantity, but i have to say I haven't had a need for prescription sulfates to eliminate urinary tract infections at all since starting the D3. Strict diet and glucose control has indeed helped lower the candida level, as I dieted last year, but I started having extreme mood swings and crying spells that I feel are due to the mercury ions being released into my body from fat stores. "Magnesium protects the cell from aluminum, mercury, lead, cadmium, beryllium and nickel. Evidence is mounting that low levels of magnesium contribute to the heavy metal deposition in the brain that precedes Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer's. It is probable that low total body magnesium contributes to heavy metal toxicity in children and is a participant in the etiology of learning disorders. " (http://www.krispin.com/magnes.html) (this is why I believe that the actual blood concentration of mercury would increase with magnesium supplementation, and likely increase my mood swings. At least, that's my current theory.)
The body, after all, can only eliminate so much at a given time with still more being released from dental reserves.
Still working where I can on it, and keeping up a good intake of avacado and vitamin C.
Thanks, -Jen
