It is all a matter of concentration.

In human studies a concentration of about 0.07 mg chlorite per kilogram of body weight produced no adverse effects, so at that concentration it appears that no damage is being done to the body.

In animal studies when the concentration exceeds about 5 mg chlorite per kg of body weight, adverse effects indicating body damage occur.

As a reference 1 ml of Miracle-Mineral-Supplement has 224 mg of chlorite.

I would speculate that if your concentration exceeds 5 mg chlorite per kg body weight, white and red blood cells would be oxidized. The question you need to answer is if a reduction in red and white blood cells helps you on your path to health.
