Hi Kp,
Yup, I do take Iodine and dessicated thyroid meds. So have you tried to get dessicated instead of the Armor? The formula has changed from what I understand and not sure what changes but I know people were not happy with the results after the change.
As for the Iodine making you tired at higher doses that could have nothing to do with thyroid and more to do with gradual slow detox issues combined with the metabolic dysfunction that stems from thyroid disorder....it tends to take quite some time to get this all straightened out with diet changes, dosing adjustments with the Iodine as well as your thyroid medication.
I tend to listen to my body from day to day and so will increase or decrease my thyroid med according. If I take my typical dose I will take in two separate doses and same with the iodine, two different doses works better for me. There are a ton of people who do the same, just listen to how you are feeling physically and mentally when you get up in the AM, that is typically the time you will know what kind of day your body is up to...something like this. And there aren't many days you won't make the right decision, trust yourself, nothing is a for sure.
The adrenal fatigue can be a real issue for many people so it's good this was addressed to you earlier.
Take heart, things will improve, get easier but it really does take time and even then things will change as things will do and so what worked yesterday might not be as effective today if you didn't get enough sleep or are stressed, in a hurry, not feeling up to par, ate something funky etc. Nothing is a sure bullet for feeling fabulous, we will wax and wane like the moon? so to speak. LOL
Good luck to you
