You are absolutely right. Restoring gut flora from dysbiosis, or microflora imbalance shoud be the number one priority to dealing with candida and other pathogenic organisms. Without a healthy microbiome there is little chance of recovery. This is precisely why I quit trying to defeat candida and pathogenic bacteria with antifungals, antimicrobials and such. Restoration of indigenous gut flora, though, can not be accomplished by ingesting manufactured probiotics. These wil not colonize and only last in the colon for several days at best. Nor will food based probiotics implant. The only proven method that I am aware of for microbiome recovery is from a fecal implant from a healthy donor. This of course has been discussed numerous times on this board. Best of luck.
