parasites, for one. imv. Which kind, who knows? The chronic constipation sets up a situation is which the parasites are actually invited -- I mean; picture it; they are like garbage men trying to clean up an inner mess. Normal clean colon is one evacuation for each meal eaten. Parasites are getting all your nutrition,it sounds like, and you are malnourished. So, whatever's going on, it's a way the body has of trying to save your life. But the colon seriously needs cleansing. Forget doctors and look at good herbs. You might want to look into Barefoot's forum, and see if you can resonate with his methods. He makes herbal formulas based on Dr. Christopher's teaching. Stool testing usually doesn't find parasites btw--strangely enough. Or not enough of them. Natural Healing is the best way. The Natural Healing Forum is a very good one too. Both/either of these will demand some serious commitment to natural ways. Some self-study and self-doctoring. It's not for everyone. Most people want to be told one thing to take. And while it is simple ("weed and feed", says Barefoot) it is not "easy", per se.
