HV - I have oral thrush (had a culture done a few months back) that I've been battling for several years and in the last 5 months I've developed skin rashes all over my body which started on my ankle and spread from there. I had 3 different diagnoses from 3 different doctors (pityriasis rosea, eczema, tinea). I still believe the rashes to be candida related. They start out as tiny red dots like pin pricks which then turn into slightly raised skin colored patches that are very dry and itchy. The red dots always show up before the rash. Does this sound like candida or something else? This may sound silly but I have had very good success with rubbing generous amounts of EVCO with a couple drops of tea tree oil on my rashes and wrapping saran wrap over them and leaving it on for several hours. My rashes would disappear in just a day or two with this method, however, this cannot work on all areas of my body such as my scalp and is only a temporary solution. I also had extremely good success with pau d'arco at 545mg 5-6x daily for about 3 weeks. My rashes almost completely disappeared with the pau d'arco and I thought I was cured but I made the mistake of rotating with SF722 and during that time, the rashes started coming back again so I started taking the pau d'arco again, this time 545mg 4 pills, 3 times daily. I'm now going on week 4 of the pau and I'm not seeing improvement but it isn't spreading as fast as it was. Is it possible that the candida is now resistant to pau d'arco? If so, what other supps can I try?
I would also like to mention that I have started making my own milk kefir but have not seen any improvement as of yet from that in either my thrush or rashes. This is probably because I have only been drinking it every other day for a little over 2 weeks. How long should it take for this to start helping me? Also, I let the milk ferment for 40-48 hours but after drinking it, my coating on my tongue gets very thick and I now have white dots on my gums and inner lips which I never noticed before. Is it supposed to get worse before it gets better?
I ordered some xylitol toothpaste, should that help with the thrush? Should I continue gargling with tea tree oil? Any other suggestions? Sorry for the long post, I hope you can help. Thanks in advance!
P.S. I've had full lab work done and all blood tests came back fine. I've had my thyroid tested and that was good too.
