Hi lilagirl,
I prefer to take 2 coffee enemas of 2 cups, one right after the other. You take one, retain it for 10-15 minutes, empty your bowels then take the second enema. You should have less trouble retaining.
If soapsuds makes you nervous then try a baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) enemas, 4 teaspoons of baking soda for 2 quarts of water.
The main use of coffee enemas is for detoxing the liver. For cleansing the large intestines you need a cleansing enema, could be a soapsuds, baking soda, ACV, lemon juice, or other enema solution.
“Oh, then I guess I'm going about it all backwards, as I had been doing stone crushers (is that what coptis/bitters do?) and then 3-4 nights of CEs, and then planned to do a 2-3 day fast of juice, and Liver Flush with epsom following.”This is protocol is ok. Bitters will cleanse your liver. Coffee enemas will do the same. What I am saying is that you need to cleanse your digestive system before cleansing your liver. To me this is paramount!
Remember that a juice fast can help loose weight but you need to take cleansing enemas daily before the fast and for the first few days of the fast.
I hope this helps you.
