Hi all,
in late 2003 my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer and in early 2004 he recieved radiotherapy to destroy the tumor. All was fine or so we thought until February of last year when my father started to have problems urinating; sometimes it would be an urgent need to go kind of thing and other times he said he could tell if it was a number 1 or a number 2 he needed.
After several visits to the doctors he was diagnosed with prostatitis and he was prescribed anti-biotic after anti-biotic but nothing seemed to be helping. It eventually got so bad that my father was rushed to hospital unable to urinate at all and so he was fitted.
After a while my father started getting pain which he thought might be haemorrhoids but nothing seemed to help him and he can't sit down for more than a few minutes. After about 7 months they finally suggested an MRI scan which found a tumor had returned to his prostate (not sure if they even got rid of it in the first place).
So now I think they've pretty much given up on him but they have him now on hormone treatment but I'm not sure how effective that will be.
I'm now trying to find my father an alternative cancer therapy which I wish he would have tried first but hindsight is a wonderful thing. I have been reading some great things about alternative therapies and am looking for any advice or help anyone can give me particularly anything to do with the budwig diet. Anyone had any success with this?
P.S I am advising my father to eliminate foods/toiletries/household cleaners etc. with chemical additives.
