Thank you so much for this post. I realize it has been a year, but hopefully you are still a member here and will receive my message. I have read so many posts and blogs and forums regarding severe adrenal fatigue and this is the first one that has sounded similar to my situation. I have been bedridden for 14 months. And when I say bedridden, I mean it. At 31 years old, I had to move in with my parents and have 24 hour care. I cannot shower on my own, cook anything, go outside, etc. I can't even sit at a computer. I use the internet on my phone in bed. I go months without being able to mutter even one word because the fatigue is so terrible. I have seen more than a dozen ER docs, geneand practitioners, and specialists since becoming ill. I cannot get out to see anymore doctors. Each time I am brought in, it takes months to even get to the bathroom and brush my teeth on my own again. I am lucky enough to have a holistic doc who visits me and has run all the right tests finally. Along with all of the research I do on my own, we have found severe adrenal exhaustion and hormone imbalances. Along with several bacterial overgrowths. I cannot eradicate the bacteria until I am a bit stronger. The die off effects nearly killed me. I will be starting on an adrenal rebuilding protocol next week and hope to see some improvement. I just wanted to say thank you for sharing that you were also bedridden. I thought I was the only one and not that I am glad You suffered in that way, but it's nice to know I'm not alone. When people talk about going to work, I can't believe it! I had to quit my job in October of 2010 when I kept passing out at work. After that I woke up one day and literally couldn't move. Not.one part of.my body. I was rushed to the hospital and they sent me home after extensive testing showed that I was healthy! Unbelievable! My parents brought me to their home that night and had to carry me to the car, in the house, and upstairs, where I've primarily been for 14 months.
I am hoping you are even more recovered by now. If you are still a member of curezone, I would love to hear what you did initially to get yourself out of bed. Exercise is out of the question, as I cannot even walk downstairs at this time. I eliminated all wheat, gluten, yeast, dairy, sugar, and eggs 5 months ago after my food panel came back as highly sensitive to those foods. I haven't noticed a difference at all.
Thanks for any suggestions from anyone! I've been working on meditating and reducing stress as much as possible. I have had a life of constant, chronic stress, which I'm pretty sure was the culprit in starting this illness. I do not suffer from anxiety or.depression, luckily. I've been able to maintain a positive outlook for the most part.
