It is amazing what ignorant doctors will say about Iodine use, thyroid tests, desiccated thyroid and adrenal insufficiency aka adrenal fatigue. But let me reassure you that excess Iodine DOES NOT cause cancer. Being DEFICIENT in Iodine can cause cancer of the thyroid, breast, reproductive organs .... probably many others since iodine receptors are found in every part of the body. If you cannot enlighten this doctor, either neglect to inform him about your iodine intake or better yet, take the iodine urine loading test that Hakala labs offers, to see if you really are sufficient or not.
