Well I put it this way. I can read complex biochemical and medical literature, law cases, economics, environmental literature, I can understand it while I do it. But my declaritive/concrete memory is very poor and has been bad off and on for over 10 years. The catch is that sometimes it gets better, like when I regularly exercise, or avoid the bad foods like gluten.
You probably notice that I write a lot. I cannot talk this much, but I could when I was young. I cannot remember what I write. I basically cannot succinctly say what I need to in order to get a doctor to help me properly. And also I really need to find the right kind of doctor willing to listen, but even then the man has got to hear something succinct. I can be succinct, but I wont get him to hear what he need in order to help me. And really it boils down to me getting the tests I need to push me in the right direction, since I have absolutely no diagnosis.
I know radical changes in my diet and exercise is how I will have to live my whole life, and that these doctors like Schultz and Clarke, etc kind of make a point you cannot argue against. But I also realize conventional medical treatment may also be required at some point to keep me from getting too bad off. I mean if I could transition from medication to completely alternative and herbal control that would be my game plan.
After I lost my weight, for the first 3 or 4 months, I had pretty good concrete memory. In fact it was so good it was scary, because it had not been that good since elementary. At the time I was not paying attention to how important that was... because I didn't know I would have my memory become totally impaired over the next 2 years.
I did not have impaired social skills in elementary. I was extroverted, hyper intelligent. Sometime around sixth grade I had to get glasses, and started to become extremely depressed and have brain fog, problems with math, poor memory. In one way or another I have always been unable to articulate my mind since then, because of not being able to remember things concretely.
This only became a real issue, when it got worse the last 2 years of high school. The same part of the brain responsible for concrete memory is going to make it very hard to be um.. chatty and conversational because you cannot remember anything to talk about basically...aside from having nothing positive to say... because your in pain.
Diabetic damage is almost certain. The question is what happens when it goes away? I probably have not had high blood Sugar in over 4 or 5 years. But my body is still damaged. Diabetes and morbid obesity leave you damaged. But the Science is just too complex. And I am only now getting the big picture, but I am way in over my head.
I did a lot of damage with stimulants as well.
I had made plans to see a doctor, but neither I or the doctor know what we are looking for. That combined with the lack of insurance makes it next to impossible for me to actually get a test that proves anything.
There is evidence of impaired metabolism though. I had high SHBG (human sex hormone binding globulin) levels, indicative of protein deficiency, and thyroid deficiency. I also have never had a full endocrine panel or thyroid panel done, outside the TSH, which is often meaningless.
I went into details here //www.curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=1895507
So I do need to go back to the doctor, but since my blood glucose always checks out, I need the full endocrine panel, thyroid panel. I am due for another CBC metabolism panel. I still want a hair mineral analysis from some sort of lab through a doctor who will order it. I have a ton of people on here telling me to do a metamutrix GI stool analysis test.
What I really just need is a doctor, preferably not a male doctor, because they especially do not care, who does care. I tried to go to clinic doctors at my college or the community clinic, and I ended up being told to take antidepressants and sleeping pills.
I need to know if I am suppose to be taking something like insulin or prednisone, because I am very very anti-medication, especially for those and the psych drugs, and I would need time to plan something alternative.
Alternative only works with these situations if you can taper off of it and catch it early. I HAVE read of people with severe adrenal fatigue and hypothyroidism doing some dieting and exercising that cured them. Type 1 diabetes and Addison's are a bit extreme however. Even some cancers will go into remission on alternative regimes before you could touch those organ failures.
