About the inflammation: her diet has changed a bit since her inflammation started to get better, but not by much. After she felt like she was getting better, she started eating more refined grains and a little more meat, but not by much.
Most meats do contribute to inflammation due to the arachidonic acid.
If anything, her stress levels probably improved since then, as she did not have much document-based evidence to go on that she was getting better, and after the scans, the blood work, etc., she now does.
Even if the inflammation is not directly tied to the cancer, in my mom's mind, it pretty much is. I'd like to diminish it as much as possible, because the less inflammation she has, the more she feels like she is beating the disease, which means she's in a better mood and has less stress.
Yes, because worrying about the cancer is just more stress.
What blend of herbs, minerals, or foods do you recommend?
Mostly vegetables and seaweeds, which will also provide a lot of minerals. Kefir is also good since it helps the immune system and further breaks down estrogen metabolites. Just make sure it ferments long enough to reduce the sugar content. The acids from the kefir will also aid in mineral absorption.
I started having her drink Lily of the Desert aloe vera juice concentrate:

But I'm not sure how much it will help. It is about 29 ml of pure juice in a 30ml serving, so it is pretty much pure aloe vera without much else in the formula. Is one bottle a week (four measuring cups) enough? Or should we try something else?
The polysaccharides in aloe will help increase white blood cell activity, which is helpful in cancer. Aloe also contains some organic germanium, which is also anti-cancer. So this is helpful.
