MH,

Last night I ate a nice meal. I kept it simple...tofu and lettuce. It was a good meal but unfortunately it didn't seem like it was enough for me. So I started rummaging around for other foods. While I was debating what to eat next I swirled my saliva around and swallowed. I did that about 4 or 5 times. What was really amazing to me was that just like magic; my cravings for any other food dissapeared! Why did that happen exactly? I've tried to research Fletcherism and didn't come up with very much.

Today, I ate out at a fast-food restaurant. Because just chewing food into a liquid didn't seem to work in the past I tried something different. At this meal I had three types of foods (ie, cheese quesadilla, macaroni and cheese, and apple pie). I decided I would swallow 5 times before I would grab the next food-item. When I finished eating the first type of food, I waited, and swallowed five times. Then, I would go on to the next type of food, finish it all, and I would swallow five times. Then, I ate dessert and swallowed continuously. It was like I buffered the meal with saliva in order to digest each type of food in the appropriate way.

Normally, I would have oily skin and feel uncomfortable for a very long time. This time it dissipated rather quickly and I didn't have to reach for the LBB to quickly purge this meal for my transgression. It's exciting. Maybe there is something more to this than we know. Do you have any more insights on Fletcherism?

Thanks,
Matrix
