Hi all,

I'm curious if someone here can explain antifungals to me a little more. On my stool test, it shows a fungus (geotrichum) that is susceptible to various things, including diflucan. But in the sidebar it says this means it inhibits growth, not necessarily kills it.

Is this how all antifungals work--by inhibiting growth, versus actually killing the stuff? And if so, is the theory that the body will eventually kill it off if it isn't growing anymore?

Thank you.
