So you were just a 25 year old guy in good health who went scuba diving and suddenly, on your second dive, you developed some alarming problems and still have them 10 years later. Were you poisoned? You and your friend were probably using the same air and similar equipment but still it's possible you reacted and he didn't. Perhaps for some reason you have an intolerance to whatever was in the air or in the equipment. When I am exposed to some chemicals my muscles become weak. Often one of my neck vertabrae goes slightly out of joint and sometimes my jaw joint slips out too. My balance is poor, I don't feel well, sometimes I drool, I'm easily confused. I've learned to push both the vertabrae and the jaw joints back into place so most of these problems clear up. If you were using new scuba equipment it had a lot of organic solvents still outgassing. So weakened muscles and gripping the mouthpiece with your teeth displacing your jaw could have resulted in your problems and you could have had a systemic reaction to the pollutant (s). What I have found with my chemical sensitivity problems is that only avoidance of the chemicals helps. As a guide I used Dr. Hulda Clark 's clean-ups to keep as many as possible chemicals out of my living environment.

You can see why chiropractry, massage and some of the other remedies you have tried would have no lasting effect. First you would have to get whatever is causing the muscle weakness out of your environment before they would have a lasting effect. This is what I had to do and it took about 2 to 3 years and a big change in lifestyle.

I also had problems with rigid muscles and depression. I thought for a while that I had one of those strange autoimmune diseases that would have left me bedridden but it turned out I have Celiac Disease and it is at least controlled by using a gluten free diet. Although there are now other good detox and cleansing programs I used Hulda Clark 's programs and within about 2 years the muscle rigidity was almost gone. The Depression was helped by using herbs (turmeric, cloves, cayenne) to kill off toxin producing bacteria in my intestine and by using supplements to help my digestion and especially taking a balanced Vit B supplement . Liver Flushes helped clear toxins and congestion out of my liver and bile system. (See the Liver Flush Support Forum ). Sweat baths helped me sweat out pollutants.

I hope this helps you.
