My guess is bromide; Iodine stir it up, needs salt/chloride to finish the job. Real salt, celtic, himalayan + a few grams of vit C should help.

My mother used to have terrible kidney pain while she was low sodium. Now she add some salt to all her water + a little Iodine and no pain anymore.
