I wasn't criticizing or suggesting that the original poster was in favor of using mercury for yeast problems. I was just hopefully adding to the discussion by pointing out other toxic substances used as medicines in the past. It's interesting to learn about what people considered acceptable medical treatments before.

Snake oil is bad enough, but toxic snake oil is a whole new level of bad.
