3% Hydrogen peroxide has a PH of around 4.5, so that makes it an acid. Dioxychlor is alkaline.

If you want to stay on the safe side, a product called Oxyfresh is sold by dentists and has studies demonstrating its effectiveness. Sometimes using a proven product is better than doing damage with a "home brew..."
