I've been taking the Ivy's brand of Mukta Vati from
http://www.herbs2healyou.com/
for almost a year now, and am so glad that I happened to spot the Mukta Vati idea on Dr. Andrew Weil's website.
I'd been at a desperate point, with blood pressure sometimes going up to the 270/120 plus range (I stopped taking it at that point), and for a few weeks in a row often in the 245/100 range. 190/85 was a really good reading for me.
I do have multiple health problems and those problems haven't gone away, but Mukta Vati might have saved my life. I gradually discontinued the 4 bp drugs I was on at their maximum dosages, and, once off the prescriptions, it took maybe 4-5 days before I started to see any improvement in the readings, but I'm very certain that I was allergic to at least one of the regular pharmacy bp drugs I was taking--so that the more I took, the more I needed to take to control the bp problems the medication itself was causing.
The herbs2healyou website cautions that before surgery you ought to discontinue taking their Ivy's Mukta Vati, as with some people it can act as a blood thinner. I've seen a couple of indications that I am probably one of those people. So I've just placed an order for the other kind of Mukta Vati, the Divya kind, and I hope it works well enough to allow me to go off the Ivy's kind for awhile because I need a procedure that won't allow blood thinners.
If I find that the Divya kind of Mukta Vati works just as well, almost as well, or not too well compared to the Ivy's formulation for me, I'll post back to let you know.
I've had extreme nasal congestion, especially at bedtime, but that's been a problem for a lot longer than I've been on the Ivy's brand of Mukta Vati, and I don't notice any difference on that with Mukta Vati.
Best wishes,
Mary
