This dream was sending you a message.

The fact that you tried to open your eyes and you couldnt simbolize that you wanted to SEE things about life CLEAR, but you couldnt.Probably you werent aware enough of what was going on in your life.
The pressure in your chest simbolize, some anxiety as we all feel, when anxious.

Probably you were having a hard time as a teenager or with your moms relationship, because you could listen her, but you werent aware enough to SEE things clearly.

Just my sense of it.
