EDIT - your left side/shoulder issues seem be correlated to the ICV issues.

ah!!! I was theorizing that -if by ICV you mean the ileocecal valve- and thinking to post a good bookmark I had, but wanted to hear your input first. Here's the link I thought worth sharing..
