I had to purchase the dried herb, which I had to grind and sift to a powder myself. It is a very strong herb, with almost a floral, perfume type scent, and the only way I can take it is to put into capsules. I tried making a tea out of the debris leftover from making the powder, as the stems would not grind up, but it was too strong. I might try using it in an enema next time.

As I mentioned originally, in the beginning I took it with ginger, fennel, clove, tumeric, and a few LBB. I also took papaya enzymes, and also tried zymex II for a couple of weeks. Neither of these additional supplements were taken regularly, and I do not believe any of them besides the enzymes assisted in the dead worms. I don't take the enzymes anymore, and for me, the cheap papaya enzymes worked as well as the Zymex. I did not start getting out bigger worms until I took mainly the centaury several times daily, nothing else. The ginger and fennel seem to help my stomach bloat and gas, I don't take those regularly anymore, just when I feel I need to.

As with any herb, I think taking on an empty stomach is better. I still get worms when I eat throughout the day though. I have had better results on an empty stomach, but it's hard to do though because it makes me very nauseous, and that combined with the diarrhea makes me weak. I have been pretty sick for the last 8 days, but I am not stopping, I need to get it over and done with.

Last night I took three capsules before bed, had eaten a few hours earlier. I got out tangles of fresh worms today. I say "fresh" because they were still an off white color and still in a plump state, which tells me that centaury kills them quickly and expels them. I hope that the stomach gurgling and diarrhea is my body trying to get rid of these things. It is pretty scary the amount I must have in me, my stomach is flat and empty now, and they are still coming.

If you do try this herb, good luck, I hope you have success. Since it does seem to work quickly, be prepared for severe die-off, nausea, and possibly diarrhea. The most I have taken is about 8 capsules daily, and although I had good results taking this amount, I got pretty sick also.
