As with anything else, there is a wide range of products out there and the cheap simple zappers like the one shown only output about 5 or 6 volts p - p as compared to the better ones that output a full 9.6 volts or even higher 10.6 volts. Additionally, the better zappers provide more frequencies and more accurate frequencies than the simple zappers shown or discussed on those forums.

When you are looking at fixing a serious problem, consider getting a serious tool for the job.
