Yet another study on Magnesium worsening candida is here:

One of the first sentences in this study is:

"added magnesium but not calcium was required for exponential growth of Candida albicans yeast cells"

Exponential growth of Candida, from magnesium? Ugh.

The study's purpose was to check the effect of calcium, rather than magnesium, on candida, and they inadvertently found this result about magnesium, it seems.
