The very thin 18 gauge or so wires also work just not as good as the thicker 12 gauge or thicker ones but are more convenient to use.

Can also wear it only when going through a herx.

It's pretty similar to the Violet Ray for pain, etc.. For example, knee hurts, just put it around the knee for a bit and will help like the Violet Ray.
