I have the same issues and I agree..
Everywhere you go there always exists contradicting information so it is a bit frustrating to say the least, to know exactly what to do. For instance- this guys theory that raising the PH but focusing diet primarily on fruits and vegetables is anything but new.. also it is worrying as I have read a lot of people say problems come from a high alkaline environment not just as an extremely acidic... I 've actually even heard alkalinity is what actually makes the candida fungus mutate, instead of leaving it unable to survive. I believe there somehow needs to be a balance.. don't our own intestinal flora flourish in an acidic environment(?) as well producing things such as lactic acid to stop candida from proliferating anyhow? I agree with the fact meat is problematic as a gut irritant and promotes inflammation though.. plant foods I believe give the best chance for the gut to heal, but then comes the issue of candida and others feeding off the sugars! What a mess this is.
Something I am also confused about is the issue of probiotics while attempting to heal a leaky gut.. some people say it contributes to the problem while trying to heal, some say it helps?? so which is it... I guess all we can do is absorb as much information as we can and follow our instincts and figure it out individually.
