My first guess...some little infection. Or, it could be, I suppose, that there is some kind of pressure from something inside a tooth.


When I began to get toothaches from fillings falling out, I could only go to sleep at night when I tucked several cloves into my cheek.

They stayed put...I didn't swallow them in my sleep.



I also suppose that one might develop some kind of a tension in anticipation of pain.
