I think you have the right attitude. Medicine is largely a game of trial and error. And having mirena taken out is a good start, middle or ending for anyone with unexplained symptoms. I don't advocate the use of it in the first place.
Beyond that, I think people who have symptoms that don't quite fit should have some other tests done rather than waiting months to see if they will subside after having mirena removed.
I know many people are getting more involved in their health and taking action, but if you've been frustrated looking for answers and then stumble on this forum seeing that women are having problems with this method of birth control, it may be easy to say that mirena did it. If that isn't the case, I hope those women get help.
But overall, I think we're on the same page. I support anyone who has had issues and even if they haven't (yet), I support the initiative to let them know the full list of accurate side effects.
