Looking forward to it Grace. I'm glad you don't sound put off by my story. I do realize that we have to be careful about saying something is not from God.

I'm afraid I wouldn't know if God blessed me with gold dust or not since I use powders that have real gold infused into my cosmetics. I sparkle all the time. :)

Seriously though, there are scriptures that give us some insight.


"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. John 14:12

"Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give." Matthew 10:8

1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Of course the pastor in my story confessed that Jesus had come in the flesh, yet he deceived people and took their money wrongly. Perhaps if he freely received, he should have freely given?

So help me with this.....wouldn't we look at this pastor as someone who fell but was still covered by grace because he believed and he could be restored fully with repentance? The true false spirit is a pastor who says that Jesus did not come in the flesh or someone who outright lies and says Christ came...but doesn't believe it?
