As for the others Read some Judy Hall books she is very imformative and also Cassandra Eason, another good book is Book of Stones Who they are and what they teach. by Robert Simmons and Naisha Ahsian. Another way is to use them by insinct. If you ask the stones and meditate they will either show you or you will get am impulse of what they can be used for.
