I agree with all of your diet recommendations except for saying to eliminate all carbohydrates. Remember that every single person is different and we can't prescribe one specific diet or one type of cleanse that works for everyone. I was following a basically zero-carb diet for a long time being very strict eating a ton of organic vegetables and it basically made me worse, decreased my energy and did nothing towards getting me on the road to real health. It was not until I added a good amount of complex carbohydrates into my diet that my body became strong and balanced again. Within a few weeks my energy increased so much that my immune system started to naturally be able to keep the candida back in check. It has been two years now (eating good amount of carbs the whole time) and my body is still able to keep the candida at bay, my energy levels are great and I feel great.
My thoughts on low-carb, zero-carb diet (as recommended in your post) are that for SOME people this may be a good diet to follow. For SOME people it may be a good diet to follow as a body cleanse, i.e. only for a certain duration 1-2 months and then slowly start to add in carbohydrates (I believe I am this type of person, because it did make me feel better for a bit, but after following it too long I lost my energy and health completely). And for others this diet will be straight detrimental and they will receive no benefit. I have read many posts where people say they completely cured their candida by eliminating carbs, but I have read just as many that said that they felt complex carbs was an essential part of their cure.
Please let's just remember that we are all different. When we are giving general diet recommendations, we should stick to the recommendations listed by curezone on the candida page not just what has worked for you. I just looked at it again and nowhere on there does it say anything about eliminating carbohydrates.
