Yes, that's the conclusion I came to. I stopped all supplements and probiotics, even the kefir and kraut, and did an extreme exclusion diet of pretty much of tons of leafy greens, CO oil, and a chicken leg here and there. I was terribly hungry for about a week, then things seemed to taper off. I would not recommend anything this extreme to someone who is weak or has a medical condition, as the detox was harsh, but I was desperate to get the upper hand. A green juice fast for a few days also helped alot.

I think it's important to note that when I started adding things back into my diet like probiotics and pretty much everything but alcohol, wheat, cheese, and sugar, I also started taking nystatin powder as an strong antifungal.

I make kefir from raw unpasteurized grass fed cow milk, and use real kefir grains, not the starter. I drink this at least once a day - usually at lunch after my salad as it's full fat milk and keeps the hunger at bay. I also make kefir from young coconut water, which I drink every few days as I want it (it's not my favorite!). I eat kraut every day after I get home for work or with dinner. It is delicious. The water kefir is new to me so still brewing my first batch. I got it more in hopes that my kid will like it.

I also allow myself one "off the diet" meal a week and a glass or two of wine. This doesn't cause any reactions at this point, and helps me stick to the diet during the week.

Oh, I'm 33 and a now normal weight (used to be underweight) if that makes any difference.
