Sorry to hear you're going through so much trouble. Just wanted to chime in because I'm helping my bf with a 'grad student' version of the IP, and each day has been such a struggle (haven't had any time for cz and came here to find willowley's pfrimmer post, which we are considering next). He's lost a lot of control of the motor nerves in his legs and feet. Yesterday he sliced a huge gauge in his nice, brown leather high tops on his way to class because it's difficult for him to walk straight. It's things like this and the fact that he can't control his movement that really get him down. Also, we're both 26 if that's any consolation. We've got to be the two damn healthiest people in the city, and he feels so hurt to see his friends out partying eating pizza and wings. We can't even go out dancing, so needless to say, the past month we've been successful recluses.

This probably doesn't really have a place here, but I thought I'd share it anyway. Helping him along has required a lot from me, from just the daily routine of IPing to controlling my emotions through it all.

If I didn't come across this information on meditation over the summer, I probably wouldn't have the strength to help him with the IP at all. (sorry for the spirituality aspect, take it with a grain of salt if you must!)
