My understanding of Cutler is that you start to address it before chelation and take appropriate steps to keep it in check. He thinks that chelation is what ultimately is going to enable you to get control of the problem when it is due to Hg. The yahoo frequent dose chelation group members who have nasty problems in this area usually use DMPS and avoid weekly use of DMSA.
